I posted this on the Escape forum because there seems to be more traffic over there right now and it pertains to all Escapes. So I'll post it here also. Has anyone else bought the Ford recomended F6SZ-1A043-AA wheel locks and fell that they are a little to long for these wheels?

Just by looking at that part number, I can tell you that those locks are not specific to the Escape and are universal.

Right off the Ford Owners web site. Check compatible vehicles. Only problem is the part # does not match the picture.

It does state that it fits the new Escape, however, they are more or less universal locks.

I'll have to call McGard and get the dimensions of thier shorty exposed to see if they have enough thread depth.

Well, after seeing the price of my Titanium's rims, I might want to consider wheels locks myself.

How about Discount Tire or Pep Boys? They both seem to carry stuff like wheel locks.

I'am going to check around some. The ones from Ford look alright, just seem to stick out a little to much on the 2013 wheels. It looks like it may be possible to get a pair of vice gripes on the end. Don't know if you could get enough grip to break the 100lbs of torque.

I got the Gorilla Automotive 71631N Acorn Wheel Locks (12mm x 1.50" Thread Size) from Amazon and they look and fit well.

Try the 24196 McGards They are 1.28 inches in length. They fit perfectly on my wifes new Escape. Ordered from Amazon. 1.5 inches is to long. Tried Fords and they stuck out like a sore thumb.
