Hello, just transitioned from a 2012 Focus to a 2015 Escape Titanium yesterday.  Nice vehicle!

I like to drive with the headlamps on at all times. Leaving the setting on auto won't get me that. On the Focus, I would manually turn the lights on during the day. I would have to turn them to auto or off after turning off the ingnition or I'd get the audible alarm and they stay on.

One thing I've noticed that is different with the Escape headlamps control is that when the control is set to on and I'm turning off the engine and getting out of the car, there is no audible alarm, and the lights go out automatically, even though the control is set to on. Is this how it's supposed to work? The salesman didn't know much about it and the Ford tech I talked to said it shouldn't be a problem to leave the control set to on when shutting down.

Any insight into this would be apprecated.

Thanks,

Rod
