Hi - new to forum as registered user, have used it as resource since getting a used 2008 Escape hybrid to be both city car and drive to WV mountains.  Loved the car, but unfortunately we have had to part ways since it left me on side of road too many times. "Stop safely now" incidents for water pump, computer out of whack, reasons the dealer could not diagnose, and this summer failure of the regenerative brake controller.  Given the rural, and sometimes bad, conditions I drive in could no longer trust the vehicle.  It sits in back of a Ford dealer in rural WV where there is little call for hybrids.  Fault codes indicate a second failure of water pump and perhaps (once that is replaced and fault cleared) maybe a transmission issue.

Dealer's only option to  help is to send it to auction where it may fetch $2000.  Is anyone aware of places that might part out a hybrid?  The brake controller replacement part (only about 750 miles on it) cost $4,000 alone.  88,000 mi.  Body good except for the rust spots under rear wheel wells that developed last year.

Thanks for any advice anyone can offer, I think the parts may be worth more than the sum at this point.
