The 240 HP version of the D30 really moves the Escape. I have driven the Edge with a 3.5L and for acceleration I would give the Escape an edge (no pun intended). Now of course the Escape probably has a better power to weight ratio so that is part of it, but I am surprised how well this so-called "old" V6 performs. It even has more kick on E85, but the MPG's drop.

Agree 100%.

The upgraded 3.0 makes the Escape a little tiger. Makes a good pairing with the six speed auto.

Great power train and a great little vehicle.

The wife had her choice of any Ford or Lincoln and she wanted the Escape.

I drove a Fusion with the PIP 3.0L and I thought it was nicely little engine. It was much smoother than the 3.0L I had in my '05 Escape. Ford did a great job with it.

I had a v6 2010 Sport app. pack and now a 2011 escape sport app pack(nothing to do with the engine :-) ) also with the 3.0 v6 and must say that i am always impressed when pushing the pedal to the floor! even with some youngsters with their hondas trying to challenge the escape... they are also impressed when passing in front of them with the suv... this engine is very impressive!

I have a 2010 Escape Limited and I think the 3.0 is a great engine. Hard to get really good gas milage with it, foot on the floor all the time. Love to show off power.

Now imagine it with this specially designed for the d30 supercharger (+65 hp instantly)
