Ford Colleagues,

I am new to this site,  I just bought myself a Ford Escape 2006 from Japan.  Its a really nice vehicle.  I love it, however I need some help with a few needs.  One is spare  parts.  My Ford Escape was made in USA for the Japanese market.  I tried getting parts from a ford dealer but they  just do not see my VIN/Chasis: LFACXZTVX62000008 and the model: ABA-LFAAJ.  Can someone please guide me to where I can get parts for this vehicle.  I cant speak Japanese language.

Secondly,  I notice that my second gear has no power when climbing a hill.  Can anyone tell me what could be the problem?

What parts are you looking for?

For the mechanical problem, check out http://www.FlatRateTech.com as they have a lot of Ford techs on there.

Have you tried contacting Ford Customer service?  To me that sounds like a good place to start--they should be able to point you in the right direction on how to decode the VIN and get a dealer to help you.
