Just purchased a used 2005 Escape and there is an annoying rattle in the back. The car has new rear shocks and I am wondering if they could have been installed loosely. Anyone else have any experience with rattles / solutions

It's possible that the shock bushing is worn out.  That's the first palce that I'd check.

Own 2015 Escape Titanium 2.0 with 1950 miles. Experiencing extreme rattling in rear cargo area, coming at low speeds up to 50 miles per hour. Tested by removing spare, deck cover. jack, etc. and noise continues. Noise seems to be isolated with rear shocks. Any one found a solution? Going to dealer with major compliant.
