I need to have new front brakes put on my 2009 Escape.

The shop wants to charge me $35.00 to do a "rear brake adjustment" in addition to the new front pads.

I've never heard of this "rear brake adjustment" and when I asked what they do they just said they clean and adjust the rear brakes.

Is this a legitimate thing, or are they just trying to get an extra $35  ????

Anyone else here have this done???

Help please, I want to do ti right, but not make unnecessary things to help the shop.
