I just purchased a used 2003 Ford Escape XLT with 4 wheel drive and the 3.0L V-6 engine and I need to get it inspected.
During the preinspection I was told there was a "big" oil leak (underlined twice), oil on exhaust, exhaust leak in front, and oil leaking on belts.
I don't know very much about oil leaks but research seems like it might point to the valve cover gasket (at least for the oil leaks).
I don't really know where to start. I double checked the oil level and the engine doesn't seem to have lost anything.
