I just bought a 2008 escape limited with the v6 2wd. 102k on the clock. This morning while driving to work at 75mph my cruise started backing off all of a sudden, it downshifted picked back up to set speed for a few secs and lowered right back down. Roughly 5mph slower than set speed. I hit the exit ramp after canceling the cruise control and I lost all power, pushing the throttle while still in gear and after I pulled over did absolutely nothing. As I stopped the engine was having a rough time idling. Shut the engine off, started it right back up and it drive fine the rest of the way.
No check engine light or any other light on the dash came on.
Can anybody help me out here?
