Flipredhammer Report post Posted February 12, 2016 I've recently noticed an oil drip under my 2007. Dripping off of the driver's side of the oil pan. Verified it's not the filter leaking. Kcfluc130 Report post Posted April 13, 2016 My wife has a 2012 Escape, with the same issue. It turned out to be trans fluid coming from the LH half shaft. Go to YouTube and search escape transmission leaks. Good luck Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
boomercarguy Report post Posted October 14, 2017 Check the lines to the ATF cooler on the radiator. I found a wet one that I could see from the top of the engine. I gained access and a much better view after I put my 2005 Escape on ramps and removed the plastic under-shield. Before you do anything, put some cardboard underneath the car to verify if it is motor oil or red transmission fluid. They smell different. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
