bluescape09 Report post Posted November 1, 2016 Hi, i have a 2009 escape that is consistently getting the p0401 code. I have seen in my searching that it probably is not the egr valve but the DPFE. I have searched on this and found older articles regarding it but nothing on the 2009. I have searched the engine compartment and find nothing that I can see that looks like the pictures I have seen on the www. Can someone help me out and tell me 1. if there is a DPFE on the 2009 or 2. where the thing is found and what it looks like? build date is 2/2009 on this model. thanks Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
