melonhead Report post Posted June 15, 2017 I'm trying to figure out what I need to do to fix this code. I think I've figured out that I need to replace the Bank 1 Cat, but I don't know how many cats or if there are multiple cats on that bank. A website I go to for parts lists 3 different styles...2 manifold, and one that looks like it attaches to a pipe flange or something. I really could use an assist here. LANMAN Report post Posted March 20, 2018 Greetings Melonhead, Have you had your local trusted shop pull the codes for you? I ran into the same problem and replaced the O2 sensor with negative results. My shop pulled the data using a very expensive MAC Tool scanner and they said it was the MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor. I tried three of them (re-manufactured) and returned all of them. I found a Delphi new MAF Sensor for $100.00 and that fixed my problem. Ford Escapes are sensitive cars when it comes to determining what is the real problem. Hope this helps someone. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
