blu2017 Report post Posted May 27, 2022 Anybody else have this issue. I wanted to upgrade my low beams with Sylvania Silverstar 9005 bulbs. Both bulbs exploded within a month of each other. Never had that happen in any other car. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
yasserrabello Report post Posted January 18, 2024 Hello, I'm not an expert and I may be wrong, but it looks like they exploded due to overheating. I had bad luck with multiple bulbs as well, they kept burning. So I decided it was time for a change, and I bought a little more expensive LED bulb and to my surprise, they came with coolers (little fans) built-in. They are brighter and haven't burned yet like the old halogen ones.
