I just recently got a 2001 XLT escape and was wondering about the system. The radio appears stock but it has tweeters in the doors and what appears to be a sub in the trunk. It’s a rectangular space that says Mach Audio System. I’ve been looking for information and can’t find if this was an option or if someone wired this in from a later model.
